LONDON PARIS CYCLE TOUR
Welcome

Live Updates: 26/06/08

London-Paris Cycle Tour reporter, Adam Tranter gives the updates for today's stage from London - Dover.

15:42pm - Apparently, the Internet doesn't work down south. The winner of the KoM can be confirmed as Michael Attenborough – Team Valad / Sportique. We're now at Dover Leiure Centre, group one are on the ferry, while the remaining group are waiting for the next one. A good day out, good weather of about 18 degrees, a lot of tired, but happy faces. Stay tuned for the highlight video tonight on thi website.

12:25pm - After a pleasant lunch stop, we're back on the road to Dover to catch the ferry. Press are waiting at Dover for interviews with Stephen Roche and James Cracknell. We're with group two, so can't report what happened in the climber's jersey classification.

10:21am - We've had a bit of a stop to ensure riders regroup, group 1 are now ahead.

10:19am - We have a bit of a leader on the road, number 38 is ahead of the bunch hoping to make up some time for the yellow jersey.

10:08am - We had a bit of a stop to regroup, now heading through some nice 45mph Surrey decents. Bikes are decending quicker than cars, but the Subaru is impressive. 3G connections aren't great in the middle of nowhere!`

09:50am - A bit of confusion between the groups, group two are now leaders as group one take a wrong turn. We're not too far away from the lunch stop, yum.

08:42am - Group two have stopped, we got a bit close to group one.

08:32am - Oops, some riders from group two have made the bridge to group one, James Cracknell is chasing back to regain his usual position.

08:28am - We're now in Brockham, the streets are a lot quiter. We're in group two, James Cracknell and Geoff Thomas are with us due to some mechanical issues before the start.

7:20am - The riders are off from Hampton Court Palace, the London traffic is hectic, but drivers are understanding, and possibly a little intrigued. THe motorcycle outriders are keeping the riders safe.
