June Social Ride The next group ride will take place on Sunday 15th June, 08:00 am from the start venue in Esher. The ride will be a social one, group 3&4 speeds but all welcome.

Start Times: Day 1, 26 June 2008 The start times for Day 1 have been announced. The times indicated are for departure from the meeting venue at Imber Court. Group 1: 07:00 Group 2: 07:15 Group 3: 07:45 Group 4: 06:45 If you need to sign on and get time chipped then give yourself 2 hours before your start time. We have arranged breakfast bacon rolls, porridge, tea coffee to streamline the proceedings. The groups will ride together to the start venue at Hampton Court Palace.

Rider Spotted - March Anthony Shippard and Riaan Bosoff of Team Londres-Paris.com / adidas before the start of the ABSA Cape Epic, probably the most challenging MTB event. 8 Days, almost 1000km and 18,000m of climbing. Rumour has it that Shippy is going for yellow again in L2P 2008...this should be ideal prep!

Rider Spotted - March Tim Don, Current World Champion - Triathlon was out riding in Stellenbosch, South Africa with David Kirkby, Sven Thiele and Iron Man, Nick Saunders the day after the Argus. If anyone has ever wondered what speed you can do drafting a truck try 88km/h!

Argus Cycle Tour 2008 - Results The Argus was won by Robbie Hunter from Team Barloworld in 2:27:29. L2P riders times are below
Michael Attenborough now holds the record for best time - beating Michael Blann's time for 2007. Blann retains the title of the best placed L2P rider with 146th. (out of 40,000!). Try and beat that in 2009. |

John Crawford (aka Spanners) spotted cruising in Majorca at the Winter training camp in February. Seems that rumours that he will be the oldest in the peloton must be untrue!

Argus Cycle Tour 2008 Each year the Argus Cycle Tour attracts more and more L2P riders. Rumoured to be in Cape Town, South Africa in the good weather, putting in "loadsa" miles and racing on Sunday 9th March are Mark Sinclair, David Kirkby, David Sargen, Mike Donohue, Richard Cleverly, Stephen Desmet, Moira Finneberg, Michael Attenborough, Martin Emery, Warren van Rooyen.

First L2P Baby Born Andrew Gill and Lizzie Carpenter met on the L2P. They proudly announced the birth of the first L2P baby (that we know of!). Frederick Alexander Burgoyne Gill was born on February 7th weighing in at 6.6lbs.
