"Big Events, Big Rides, Big Challenges" - Andy D'Agata
Andy's Memorial ride will take place on Sunday, 5th October. We plan to have two rides with motorbike escort outriders from L2P 2008. There will be a short circuit of 15km for families and children and a longer route of about 80km in the beautiful surrounding countryside. The start and finish will be in Calais (Holiday Inn - Coquelles, http://holidayinncoquelles.com/), allowing riders to come over for the day via ferry or Eurotunnel. The start time will be 10:00 am with lunch at 14:00 and we anticipate lunch finishing by 16:00.
The easiest way of getting there is via Eurotunnel (trains every 30 minutes), with a 35 min train journey and a few minutes in the car to the hotel in Calais. (www.eurotunnel.com) Currently tickets are £59 per car. Alternatively use P&O which is a 90 min crossing and is about £64 per car. (www.p&oferries.com).
Many will be travelling over the day before (Saturday 4th October) to meet for dinner and drinks. The Holiday Inn Hotel has very kindly given a great rate (Rooms at Euro 48 pp and dinner at Euro 20 pp) and also has an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and fitness area.
