HotChillee Training Ride #2

The second HotChillee training ride takes places on Sunday 17th February.  The ride will be in the region of 100km and will be a winter pace.  Please note that the ride length is always weather dependant. These rides are a good way to determine what group level you are at and for newcomers to get group (peloton) riding experience.

As a reminder The L2P group ride levels are (summer average speeds!):

G1 - 30+ km/h

G2 - 29 km/h

G3 - 28 km/h

G4 - 27 km/h

G5 - 26 km/h

G6 - 25km/h

G7 (Hand Cyclists) - 20km/h

Riders normally assemble from 08:30 onward for a coffee, and many stay after the ride for a chat, coffee, cake.

Date:  Sunday 17th February 2013

Time:  09:00 (The Esher Suite at Imber Court is open from 8:30 for a coffee - a great fat burner before a ride!)

Start/Finish Location:  Imber Court Sports Club, Ember Lane, East Molesey, Surrey, KT8 0BT. Google mapswww.imbercourtsportsclub.co.uk. Note: We will assemble from the main entrance and coffees are available from the Esher Suite.

Parking:  There is free parking available at Imber Court.

If you are new to The L2P, Alpine Challenge or Cape Rouleur, here are a few tips to get you started quickly!

  • Be the first to greet your fellow riders and introduce yourself. You will meet more people than you can imagine.
  • If you puncture, you buy your group a coffee (puncture twice, coffee with cake!). Moral of the story: never ride with old tyres!
